Two national art festivals will be organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to mark the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam Communist Party and the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long - Hanoi. The festival joined by workers and officials holders will take place at the Hanoi Friendship Palace on January 15-19, 2010 with the participation of around 500 artists from 14 art troupes. Meanwhile, a singing festival for students with about 1,800 participants from universities and colleges nationwide will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on December 27, 2009 Da Nang on December 28, 2009 and Hanoi on January 10, 2010. The festivals will feature a number of items with the theme of praising the country's achievement in various fields under the leadership of the Party. (Source: Nhan Dan)
